The widget is designed to increase page views as well as time spent on a site by recommending other pages of the site that a user might be interested in viewing as well.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Along with recommending other pages of your site, the widget will serve ads that are as content-specific as possible, with both the products in the ads and the recommended pages changing throughout the site. Since the more content a site has, the more information the widget will have to work with, it seems like an ideal fit for blogs and other content-heavy web sites.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Privacy advocates may not be as enamored with the widget, however, as it will be tracking user behavior on each web site. With consumers still jumpy after Facebook&#039;s aborted Beacon program, site visitors may not be ready for a more personalized browsing experience. Then again, they might not even notice Amazon is tracking them.&lt;/p&gt;
